Tell us about your career…
I had the privilege of garnering significant experience in the Canadian bank sector, both domestically and with foreign-based banks, and prior to that in the technology and manufacturing sectors. As CFO of a foreign bank’s operations in Canada, I was responsible for a multitude of financial matters including reporting, planning, forecasting and strategic decision-making. Additionally, I played a key role in new business creation, integrations and finance transformations.
What was one of your defining projects in your career?
As Principal Officer, leading the successful closure of the Canadian banking operations, after a strategic decision was made to exit Canada. Throughout this process, I was key in ensuring successful compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. This experience really highlighted the need to plan in detail but remain flexible to the changing environment in order to deliver results.
Why did you join HIVE and what have you gained from being a HIVE Advisor?
Exposure to different industries and a variety of projects. HIVE just fits my current lifestyle and has provided me with the opportunity to work in a collaborative remote network. It’s been exactly what I was looking for.
