Juan Jose is a consummate professional with an extensive career portfolio showcasing outstanding expertise and experience in financial and operational internal audits, risk management and compliance programs. Astute and analytical problem solver, Juan Jose is also an engaging collaborator who strives to deliver audit services that enhance company performance by increasing confidence in cutting-edge systems of control, navigating ambiguity and dramatically reducing uncertainty in meeting strategic objectives. Juan Jose brings over 20 years of mining experience, including his tenure at Barrick Gold Corporation, where he spearheaded the Internal Audit function for Latin America and Asia Pacific, led the global ICFR assessment program to meet SOX and NI 52-109 requirements; and supported the development and implementation of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management under COSO and ISO 31000 frameworks. Juan Jose obtained a bachelor of Systems Engineering from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), Peru. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant from CPA Ontario, a Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA and a Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors.
